after reading an article on Vice about extinction rebellion and how they could improve their campaign by targeting banks that fund insane amounts of money into oil fracking and un renewable energy companies I did some research to find the banks that contribute to climate change. After finding this information I wanted to create a design that calls out these huge corporations and tells a story of the eventuality these soulless bankers would happily have the earth led to. I combined my previous idea of buildings/flat blocks submerged by coastal flooding with this new idea by drawing some of the recognisable contributors HQ buildings submerged in an ocean poisoned by oil.

final print 2

Im really happy with how this print turned out. The 70’s pattern in red and yellow gives it a fun-fair, hypnotic touch and the blood spelling eat dick is really satisfying to me. It could be considered an ethically wrong design but for me its a way of expressing emotions of anger and discontent towards men. And I find it funny

I drew this design partly because of my frustration with men and partly because I wanted to play on the words “eat dick”. I am drawn to the idea of de-masculating men, this could be because Im an angry, angsty feminist or because Ive had my fair few unpleasant experiences with the male gender. Either way, this is quite an emotional piece for me but I think its healthy and real to express emotion through my art. so here it is
